KRISTA ROBUCK
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Krista Lee Robuck went to receive her heavenly rewards on March 2, 2010, at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
Krista was born April 14, 1959, in Boise, Idaho, the eldest daughter of Gary and Sheila (Briggs) Hubsmith. She resided in Burley, Idaho, during most of her youth, until she graduated from high school in 1977.
She then moved to Kethchum, Idaho, where she explored the outdoors, skied, and soon met the love of her life, Scott Richard Robuck. Krista and Scott left Ketchum together in 1979 to go to college at the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho, where she majored in Communications. While in Moscow, she met many people who also became her lifelong friends. She returned to the Sun Valley area in 1980, where she and Scott were married May 24, 1980.
In 1981, they moved to Boise, Idaho, to begin work and to start a family. Their son, Ryan, was born soon after in Boise, on May 26, 1984. She later gave birth to Kara, their only daughter, on September 30, 1988, also in Boise. Her two children and her husband were the light of her life, and she was a devoted mother and wife who always made sure her family's needs were always fulfilled and came first before her own needs. Krista was the most selfless person in this regard.
In 1990, Krista and her family moved to Idaho Falls, where they lived until her passing. Here, she enjoyed many years of enjoying, watching and supporting her children in their sporting activities, especially baseball, softball, and wrestling, where she logged many miles traveling from venue to venue and sat in nearly every gym or ballfield in the state cheering them on. She showed her love and support by always having a cold drink and a snack for them (and often the rest of the team as well), and occasionally telling a referee that they had made a bad call. This is also a place where she made many more lasting friendships. That was Krista, always speaking her piece of mind about what mattered most to her. She never was on the fence on any issue and usually had strong feelings that she would gladly tell you about, especially if it was about her children or other family or friends. This quality also made her very special to all who knew her.
In addition to her love for watching her children grow up, she immensely enjoyed the outdoors, Boise State football, Bunko, traveling to new places, going to concerts, camping, boating, fishing, riding ATV's in the mountains, watching the eagles soar above the South Fork, playing cards with her family and best friends, and most of all, laughing out loud. She really knew how to have a great time and enjoyed life to the fullest right to the end. She seemed at her happiest times when hosting family and friends over the holidays, where she loved to cook and fill people up with her never-ending supply of comfort food, and just make sure everyone had all they ever needed to be just right. She looked forward to putting a smile on your face by picking out a special gift or cooking your favorite meal. Krista was the person that her family and friends turned to for wisdom and advice. There was always room at the dinner table for anyone who cared to join them. She was a wonderful mother, not only to her children, but also a loving second mother to many of her children's friends, and she always enjoyed helping others who were less fortunate than her or who had unfulfilled needs. Her kindness and generosity, wonderful smile, and good nature became something that everyone who knew her came to know. She will always have a special place in the hearts of all who knew her and loved her and she will be greatly missed; may she rest in peace.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ray and Delta Briggs and Seymour and Zina Hubsmith, and her father-in-law, Richard Robuck. She is survived by her husband, Scott Robuck of Idaho Falls, her children, Ryan and Kara Robuck of Boise, her mother, Sheila Hubsmith of Burley, her father, Gary Hubsmith of Burley, her sister, Kamala Hoyer of Boise, her brother, Wade Hubsmith (Lisa) of Boise, a brother-in-law, Jeff Robuck of Austin, TX, her mother-in-law, Jan Robuck of Murrieta, CA, niece, Ashley Williams of Seattle, WA, and a niece, Maggy Hubsmith (Boise), as well as very many special friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2010, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue. Burial Services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday in Richfield Cemetery in Richfield, Idaho.

My family has lost a dear friend recently. "Friend" is not even the right word. She was like a sister to my mom and dad, and like a second mom to me and Chad. I have not known life without her, as she has been close to my family since before I was even born. Her kids grew up along side of Chad and I. We shared some wonderful times with this family, and some horrible times with them as well. We will miss Krista so much! She was the center of her family, and the planner of everthing. Our worlds will be a little shaken up for a while, but it helps to know that she is our guardian angel, and will be watching over us, and saving us a place in heaven.
