More Adventures...

So yesterday being the 24th of July and me having the day off, Jody and I decided to have a couple friends over for a small bar-b-que. Daren and Ashlee and James and Susi came over and we had a fabulous time!
Right before everyone got to out house I got a call from my mom, pretty frantic, telling me that our dear family friend Tommy got his let caught in a rototiller and it took off his foot. Of course this was very awful news. I just kept thinking of stories of when my dad had his accident when he was 19 and had to get his leg amputated and how Tommy was there to encourage him. I am so thankful that they had/have such great friends. Well Tommy was flown to the Pocotello hospital and they couldn't handle the trauma there so he was then life flighted to Salt Lake. The doctors got him stable and out of deaths way, and for some miracle they were able to re-attach his foot and he was able to move his toes. What a relief! He is still not all the way out of the woods yet but it is looking really good. I cannot believe how far technology has come. I would never even know where to begin to re-attach any part of the body! Thank heaven for doctors!
After the bar-b-que, and Jody went to work, I decided to not waist the whole entire day and headed to Home Depot. Jody and I have been planning to paint our half bath on the main floor in our new place and I thought that it was a perfect day to do it. We had decided on a light, bright green since all of our accents are white we thought it would look good. So all evening and into the night I taped and painted. Not the funnest thing in the world I might add. When I went in to look at it this morning I was BLINDED by the walls! WOW was it bright! I am a little frustrated at 2 things. One, the paint guy at Home Depot CONVINCED me that half gallon of paint would not be quite enough so I bought a WHOLE GALLON of bright green paint. Will I ever use this paint again? Probably not... Two, I was hoping that I would not ever have to paint around a toilet and vanity ever again! It is not the easiest thing to do. Oh well! Round two is bound to go a lot better. I just hope Jody and I will still have good eyesight after living with a florescent bathroom for a couple weeks until I have time to paint it again. :) I will post pics later because I know all of you will be curious!
